Congratulations to our collaborators Lesya Alexandra Granger and Brigitte Murray for their new article Voix et voies des enseignants du Programme de langues internationales de l’Ontario (openedition.org)
Abstract:
Language policy in Canada includes Indigenous languages and Canada’s two official languages – French and English. However, education is provincially mandated. Ontario’s public International Languages Program (ILP) provides students with the opportunity to study over 75 languages. This article provides a historical overview of Canadian language policies and of the ILP, research on ILP teachers’ perspectives, and a discussion of initiatives in research on language education, including those developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
