On July 7th, 2021, the EducLang research group held its first virtual Educlang Professional Institute. The event was well received with over 50 attendees. Three workshops were presented around the theme of Teaching in times of plurilingualism and cultural diversity. Dr. Mimi Masson and Shelina Adatia started off the day with a bilingual, interactive, and hands-on workshop on “Becoming a culturally-responsive language teacher.” In the afternoon, Dr. Gene Vasilopoulos presented an English workshop titled “Putting Plurilingual Pedagogy into Practice for Inclusive Teaching.” Simultaneously, Lesya Granger presented a French workshop titled “Le plurilinguisme : Activité ou approche ? La mise en action d’une pratique inclusive.”
