Become an EducLang Research Assistant

Each year, in August-September, we offer a 65-hour position as EducLang Research Assistant.

Responsibilities*

  • Support the EducLang Graduate student representatives in:

    • The organization of two EducLang Student socials per year (September and January)

    • The implementation of initiatives that bring students together (3 hours)

      • e.g., sending out promo on mailing list, providing contact information to book rooms, promoting on social media, helping with getting funding, posting information on the website, etc. (5hours)

  • Update and maintain EducLang main and Grad student website (14 hours)​​

  • Update and maintain the EducLang mailing list (students and community) (5 hours)

  • Update and maintain EducLang social media accounts and promote EducLang events / initiatives / achievements via: (5 hours)

    • X / Twitter

    • EduComm

    • Newsletter

  • Assist with preparing and promoting EducLang conference and/or EducLang seminars. (30 hours)

  • Assist with any student surveys or other EducLang research initiatives that involve students (5 hours)

  • Attend faculty at EducLang meetings  (first 20 minutes to provide updates) (3 hours)

  • Supervises the election of the two Graduate Student Representatives

Terms

1-year paid bilingual position (can also be divided into 2 positions: one Eng, one Fr)
